Add a custom indicator to your report
Some custom data can be fully integrated into IP3 ASSESS. Ask your IP3 ASSESS administrator if your license includes data integration. If it does not, or if you want to integrate data that is not a good candidate for IP3 ASSESS integration (e.g., data where only one value exists for the nation or the state, local data for which there is no benchmark), the custom value widget may be a good solution.
All IP3 ASSESS administrators with report editing access can add a custom value to a report. Note: This will not work with reports that include a dropdown for multiple areas. When you enter the custom indicator value, it won't update when you select a different geographic area.
Select the Custom Value widget to begin.
Click on the title (Custom Indicator Value) to name your custom value. Click on the numbers (123.456) to enter the value. Click on the additional info text to enter information about your value. You can click the Optional Tooltip arrow to add details about where this value came from including the source and date.
Note: Entered values should not include any personally identifiable information.
Here is an example of a completed custom indicator value widget using data from the Household Pulse Survey.
Be as specific as you can in the Optional tooltip to provide your users with the necessary information to interpret the custom value.
