Why do I only see a few population breakouts for race/ethnicity?

We make every effort to disaggregate data indicators by race and ethnicity, except where it may be harmful to people and communities.

Depending on the source, we’re able to provide data broken out by race, ethnicity, and other population breakouts (e.g., rural population, poverty).

Not all population breakouts will be available from the original source for every geography. The breakouts available for any given geography will depend on the source and what can be made available given data privacy considerations.
