Understanding the Indicators screen
The Indicators screen allows users to select any given data indicator and see how the data varies across a geographic area. Hover over areas on the map with different colored shading to see the values change—values can be as granular as the census tract level (depending on the data source and structure)! Use the drop-down menus to explore different indicators, and areas, and toggle between the state and national benchmarks for comparison.
Scroll down to see the benchmark "fuel gauge" and, where data are available, a bar chart showing population breakouts, as well as a time-series graph to show trends over time. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen to learn more about what the indicator depicts, the indicator source and methodology, and related resources on Community Commons.
